A Wonderful Weekend!

The past weekend saw the fifth, and final (for now) Sarah's Card's Retreat. It was a fabulous weekend as usual, full of fun, laughter and scrapbooking.

We had six fabulous classes:
Bright and funky Family by Tracy Gough

Mon Bebe incorporating some clever origami bows by Claire Wheatley

A Project Life style divided page by Jen Naulls

Louise Stevenson got everyone doodling with her This Clan Rocks class

The delicate Together by Ifa Zainon used some pretty stamp embossing techniques and badge making

And Helen Eddie got everyone sewing with her bright patterned design

All delegates rose to the challenges and worked on their layouts diligently...some (who will remain nameless) actually following the instructions for the first time ;)

The crop room was the place to scrap at our leisure:

When not cropping, we all busied ourselves with our second love.....shopping!

All this hard work required a god source of energy, which could be found at the sweet table

No retreat would be complete without our evening entertainment in the forms of our resident Bingo Caller, Tracy Bingo,

and Quiz Mistress Helen "Keep The Noise Down at the Back" Eddie.
As it was team member Jen G, and delegates Natalie Jane and Candace's birthdays, it was only right that we celebrated with a giant cake!
The delegates made a beautiful presentation to Sarah & Lianne of flowers and a very special layout signed by everyone present, which the DT would like to thank Carla and Claire for organising:

We hope that everyone had a fantastic time, and went home with aching sides and happy memories as well as layouts to be proud of!

Sarah, Lianne and all of us on the DT would like to thank all our attendees, past and present, for your company over the past five retreats - we really will (for now!) miss the banter, jokes and your company that we've come to know and love, and which makes the Sarah's Cards Retreat special to us all.

Love,
The Sarah's Cards 2013 Design Team

Thank you ALL for an 'absolutely fabulous' weekend, but especially to Sarah and Lianne for setting it up. I know we are all very sad that it is the last (for now!) retreat, but we all understand why, and are grateful for the wonderful times we've had, and the friend we've made, and the laughter we've enjoyed over the past few years.
So, hugs'n'kisses to everyone XXX

Thank you all for a fab week-end and inspirational classes, loved every single one of them. It was lovely to catch up with friends and make new ones. Really sad that ( for now) it will be the last one but fully understand the reasons. Life is to short to be all work. Don't leave it too long though as I'll be too old to come!! LOL

A wonderful time as usual. It is sad that we won't be meeting up in the foreseeable future but, never say never. The work you, Sarah, Lianne and the DT put in is obvious and we all appreciate it. The fun is down to you all being such great, if crazy, people. Some of the best times I've had over the last 3 years have been at your retreat and I am so grateful. Love to you all. And the many lovely ladies I met while having fun.

It is sad that this is the last retreat for now but never say never. Thanks to the hard work of Sarah, Lianne and the DT, it was a wonderful success. This was my third retreat and I had as much fun as ever. It was good to meet up with 'old' scrappers and to meet new ones. I send much love to you all and many, many thanks.
